UHD Office of the President

Welcome to the University of Houston-Downtown, where accessibility and affordability meet higher education excellence. Situated in downtown Houston with its beautiful skyline view, UHD is known for experiential service learning and co-curricular opportunities that promote public service, problem solving, and productivity. Through our many student services, clubs, and organizations, our faculty and staff work diligently to nurture talent and optimize success.

The University of Houston-Downtown is more than a university with a view; UHD is a university with a viewpoint—one that anchors us in concern for our city, commitment to socioeconomic mobility, and a culture of care that fosters personal health and well-being, growth, and economic change.
