For those planning to visit UHD's campus or need additional information about the Accessible Education Center, we invite you to speak with a member of our staff.

Important Information

UHD must follow specific guidelines when communicating with or on behalf of students who are interested in or receiving assistance from our office. Please contact the Accessible Education Center with any questions you may have regarding confidential information.

Accessible Education Center for Off-campus and Online Students

Off-Campus Locations and Online Students who wish to receive academic adjustments and/or auxiliary aids from the Accessible Education Center can review the AEC guidelines webpage, request disability services’ information via aec@uhd.edu or call 713-221-5078.

Once your disability documentation is received and reviewed, someone from the Accessible Education Center will contact you to via email or phone to schedule an appointment/interview to discuss about the academic accomodation.

Note: Accommodations may not be provided if appropriate documentation is not received in a timely manner. The Office of Accessible Education Center may contact you to request additional information. 

Students, who are not able to meet face-to-face with a staff representative, will be given alternative options (video or phone conference) such as zoom. During the appointment, reasonable accommodations will be discussed. The Student Academic Accommodations Policy will also be reviewed during the appointment. In order to view and print pdf document(s), you will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. It can be downloaded from the Adobe website.
